02. Optic Known Issues
Optic isn't registering my audio/transcription.
To fix this issue, quit and relaunch Optic.
This issue occurs when your laptop is not using the correct audio input source when Optic is launched OR when your audio input source is changed while using Optic (i.e. switching from your laptop's built in speaker to headphones).
Currently, Optic uses the audio input source your computer is currently using when the app is launched. The ability to change audio input sources in the Optic app will be available in version 1.0.
Audio not working with RealTek audio: Windows users may not be able to hear any audio specifically in Zoom meetings while using their computer's default speaker, Realtek(R) Audio. This is an issue with Zoom and Realtek Audio. However, since Optic would register the audio through Zoom, it wouldn't receive any audio either.
Disabling audio enhancements on your device may help you resolve the issue: 1. On your Windows computer, open the Settings app. 2. Click Sound. 3. In the Output section, locate the device's default speaker, for example, Speakers/HeadphonesRealtek(R) Audio. 4. Click the right arrow icon to the right of the speaker's name to access that speaker's properties. 5. Next to Audio Enhancements, click the drop-down menu and select Off.
Optic is registering the audio of other participants on a call instead of mine.
